The AImpact Center dedicates itself to exploring the effects of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on society. We aim to understand and address the ethical, social, and economic implications of these technologies, ensuring they benefit all members of society. Goals

Scientific Approach
The Center will leverage a variety of methods as represented by the diverse disciplinary commitments of its members, including but not limited to:
Randomized experiments to test hypotheses and establish causal relationships
Mathematical foundations of emergent capabilities and cross-domain transfer of AI models, upon which to build economic and social theory
Classical econometric methods such as regression analysis, instrumental variables, and difference-in-differences to analyze observational data
AI-based econometrics and high-dimensional analyses of observational data to address the challenges posed by large and complex data sets
