Jingnan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and affiliated faculty at MIT FutureTech. Her research spans macroeconomics, labor economics, economic growth, innovation, and firm dynamics. She is particularly interested in how technology shapes the economy, how technological progress can be accelerated, and how firm dynamics interact with labor market outcomes. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and was previously a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT Sloan School of Management and the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).
