Lena Song is an assistant professor of economics at UIUC. She studies media and information technologies, with a focus on their relationship to diversity and inequality. Much of her work involves original data collection including archival research or randomized experiments. She is an affiliate of SSRC Digital Platforms Initiative, NYU Center for Social Media and Politics, and the Poverty Action Lab.
